Chaz Bono's Media Relations Rep Does Not See The Value in Being a Rad Fatty

Ain't this a shame. The guy's response came back within a minute of my first email, I doubt he even looked at the site.

Dear Howard,

I would dearly love to interview Chaz Bono on my blog, Obesity Timebomb (www.obesitytimebomb.blogspot.com). My blog is devoted to fat activism, in which I have a twenty-year history, with a particular focus on Fat Studies, an emerging area of academic enquiry.

I run an interview series on the blog called Rad Fatty. This is where amazing, inspiring, incredible fat folks talk about their lives and their work. This usually entails a five or six question email interview. I envision Chaz in this section. He is clearly a significant and well-loved figure in trans and LGBT communities, and this could be a great opportunity to reach out to new communities. He would be free to promote anything that he wanted.

Obesity Timebomb enjoys significant traffic, with most of the site's visitors coming from the US.

Please let me know what you think.

With best wishes,

Charlotte Cooper

Rather makes ya wonder whether Chaz'd feel the same way himself. Does Howard know, or think he does, somehow?

I imagine other means of getting the offer to its target.

Very rude. Maybe I don't know enough about PR, but shouldn't reps be, you know, good with the public?

It's a shame that someone whose job it is to deal with the media and requests and such, can have such a rude response.
